This bi-monthly journal is a space for sacred reflection, soulful discovery, and intentional living. Rooted in the Seven Sacred Signposts of Janie Seltzer, each edition invites you to pause, breathe, and notice what is stirring within and around you.
These signposts—timeless markers of spiritual alignment—serve as gentle guides on the journey toward peace, purpose, and a life lived from the inside out. Whether you're navigating a season of clarity or confusion, momentum or stillness, this journal offers a moment of reorientation—a return to what matters most-by the grace and mercy of God.
Here, we explore the deeper questions, honor the slow work of transformation, and cultivate a way of being that aligns with your soul’s true direction.
Let this be your companion on the sacred path. One step at a time.

Welcome to the very first issue of The Aligned Growth Journal. We are so grateful you’re here.
As women seeking to live from the deep center of God’s love, we know the importance of sacred rhythms—of pausing, of reflecting, of remembering who we are and whose we are. This journal is our offering of presence and peace, a gentle companion on your path of becoming.
Each issue will invite you to linger beside one of the Seven Sacred Signposts—those Spirit-given guides that have shaped our journey and continue to call us into deeper alignment with the heart of God. We begin with Breathe, because breath is where life begins, and where we return when the world pulls us away.
Our prayer is that these pages offer more than information—they offer invitation: to reflect, to awaken, to come home to your soul. May you sense the fragrance of the sacred as you scroll. May you feel seen, supported, and gently stirred to grow—not through pressure, but peace.
We are with you—in spirit, in prayer, and in purpose.
Under the Tent of His Presence,
With love,
Janie & Kathy

Signpost #1: Sweetness
Welcome to this first issue of The Sacred Path Adventure Digital Magazine, a guide to support your journey to aligned growth and structured peace. In these pages, you'll find inspiration, practical wisdom, and soulful reflections to support your journey.
Signpost Spotlight: Sweetness - The invitation of Breath
There is a sweetness to breath when we notice it.
Before the world rushes in with demands and distractions, breath greets us—soft, unassuming, holy. It is the whispered kiss of Abba, saying, “I am here.”
From Janie’s sacred garden to the tender places of the soul, Sweetness has always been the first signpost. It is the invitation to pause, to taste and see the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 34:8). It is not loud or urgent—but it is powerful. Like the dew that nourishes without fanfare, sweetness meets us in the quiet, where our breath slows and our hearts remember.
To breathe is to return.
To inhale is to receive the love that was always ours.
To exhale is to surrender what we never needed to carry.
This is where spiritual formation begins—not in striving, but in stillness. It begins in the sweetness of one breath… and then another. In this issue, may your soul be drawn into the rhythm of sacred breath. May you feel the honey of His presence. And may your life begin to move in time with the heartbeat of heaven.
Breathe, beloved.
Taste His sweetness.
Begin here.
A Sweet Beginning: Step One on the Sacred Path
This is where the journey begins—
Not in effort, but in easing.
Not in answers, but in awareness.
Sweetness greets the soul like morning dew,
a quiet reminder that God is already here.
You do not need to run to find Him.
You only need to pause… and breathe.
As you stand at the first signpost, listen:
The Shepherd is calling you to still waters.
Not to fix, to strive, or to impress—
but to be restored.
Let your breath be your compass.
Let sweetness be your guide.
And let this sacred adventure unfold—
one slow, holy step at a time.
Aligned Growth in Action
Case Study: Sarah’s Return to Breath
Sarah is a high-capacity leader. A mother of three. A woman others turn to. Her calendar is full. Her heart? Not so much.
When she first came to the Women’s Center for SoulCARE, she didn’t say much. She cried. She mentioned anxiety, shortness of breath, waking in the night with a tight chest. She said she felt ashamed to be “so blessed and so empty.”
During a spiritual direction session, Sarah was gently invited to notice her breath—not to change it, just to notice. The tears came again. “I don’t remember the last time I exhaled,” she whispered.
Over the weeks that followed, she began practicing one simple rhythm: placing her hand on her heart and whispering the name of Jesus as she breathed in… and breathed out. Just once a day. Sometimes in her car. Sometimes hiding in the laundry room.
That was six months ago.
Now, Sarah calls that practice her sweet pause. It hasn’t erased her responsibilities, but it has reoriented her soul. She is learning to begin her days not with her to-do list, but with sacred breath. She’s begun to notice beauty again. Taste food. Feel her feet on the earth.
“I didn’t know I could live this way,” she said quietly at a recent gathering. “I thought God was waiting for me to do more. But He was simply waiting for me to breathe.”
Reflection Questions
When was the last time I truly felt sweetness in my soul?
What does my breath reveal about how I’ve been moving through life?
Where might God be inviting me to pause?
